Dominique Henderson and the Thick Crew
Attention!!! Did you know that there are so many talented people in Upward Bound. They had to audition to be in the music department. To make the audition more intersting they had to write a song and make a demo. Plus only 10 to 12 people can work in Upward Bound’s first sudio ever. If you just sit and think about how others who dont get a spot, how will react. Thick Crew a.k.a T.C. is the only girl group that is auditioning . The members are Wilechia Kelly, Antonee Kennedy, Amanda Riggins and Dominique Henderson. There role model is Glen Jr. the studio manger. We also interviewed Jerrico Lee. He goes to Goby High school and plays football. Jerrico was inspired by Ricko . Well its that time to go i cant wait to see who will make it.

June 5, 2009 Naval Air Academy Field Trip
You will not believe it!!!! June 5th ,2009 we on our way to Pensacola, Florida to go to the Naval Air Station. We stop at Mcdonalds for some food to eat. After about an hour everyone aboard the bus again for another long ride. We finally made it to our destination and once again we depart the charter buses. Now we are here on the inside of the building and its colussus. We split up into groups and began our journy around the entire station. Man was this place amazing. You can fill the history run down your skin and they actually refrenish the plane. While being there, some of us had a chance to get on the motion based stimulator and it felt like we were on an actually plane. This trip had been a wonderful experience.

It went down at the food court man!!! I tell you!!! Their was too much going on. First there was a a surprise party for one of the RA, Ms. Erin, and we had icing fight. Then here come the good part the was a situation going on between some girls and some boys. Um!! child they was talking about who like who, he say she say, whats was going to nite etc.. But stay tune because it some more stuff thats coming out soon and very soon!!!!!

We’re back from FAMU Upward Bound with another update coming live from the bloggers bringing you the news like always. Today every thing went smooth, but the only thing that happened was there were some problems with sitting ,but we still had a good time. It was so HOT outside boy I tell. Guess what happen today during lunch. The head R.A. of the female made the girls sit together and the boys could not talk to them at all. What in the world is wrong with her? Last time I recall we are not in slavery no more. Then, in lunch, they changed their minds, but then when some other boys came they sat with some girls and she said nothing. So one of the boys went to our head boss of the program and told her what was happen. While they were gone, the female head R.A. told me that the only reason why she had us like that is because her boss kept calling her about our behavior. But when we went to the room and the boy came back he told us that. She said she do not care about that and that we need to have some kind of party to know the other people in the program. I will tell you about that when it happens. But what is going around the campus now is that the head R.A. is not picking up her phone. What you think about that ??

We are back once again coming live from Upward Bound at Famu, and we are bringing you the inside scoop from lady Nsider herself. Last Night, the girls’ dorm was getting all kinds of phone calls that didn’t make any sense. One guy called and said that he was outside with our food and we kept telling him that we didn’t order any food. He kept insisting that we ordered food. Then, the funniest thing happened… we heard a lot of laughter, that’s when we knew that it was the boys! It was so hilarious. Today in the cafeteria we found out that one of our bunk mates was having their 17th birthday and I promised her that I’ll make a shout out, so PORSHA I’M GIGVING YOU A SHOUTOUT TELLING YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY MA! Oh yea, rumor has it that we are supposed to be having a party, definitely going to be there! Today we are going to have a social I think and we are supposed to go bowling! Yea I know that’s kind of lame so I hope that isn’t true so help me god! Tomorrow we are going to Wakulla springs! YUCK! I refuse to swim in that water, but it is going to be off the chain! June 11, 2009 Upward Bound Ballin…….
Today there was an Upward Bound basketball game against the Tallahassee Bulls (age range 16 & under). Upward Bound won amazingly 40 to 25. The top players (the top scorers ) were Ronnie Mackey, Ren Stokes, Rudy Ferguson, Jaron (Roach) Polous. The game went by very smoothly and it was an awesome game. The players were very excited to win the game. If you were to think of how the game went, what would you think? Well this is what I think the game went like, I think that it was a tough game being that everyone was the same age range and that they were the almost in the same height. Well this is the second trip and second week in Upward Bound. To start off, we went to Wakulla Spring. The boat tour was just beautiful. We saw all different kind of birds, tress, and alligators. After that some people got into the cold water. Then, we got back on the bus and went to St. Mark Lighthouse. It was just cute. We even got to see the Gulf Of Mexico . Let me see, um…. What happen today? Today was a chill day because the only thing that we did was talk. We did our work, but shoot, people were tired. Why, because they did not go to sleep on time as they suppose to and some of them got up late. Like this girl, she always gets up at five in the morning. Why, because she claims that she cannot sleep at night, but I think it is something else behind that, you no how that goes. Anyway, back to what I was talking about, some people went on a trip. Therefore, it was quiet and peaceful; but that food was banging man, I tell you that we had some Chinese food. Ok, we had some of that shrimp fried rice, egg roll, and some kind of meat but it was so delicious though. Overall ever thing turn out smooth.

We back with the updates from Upward Bound; it’s me Lady N and today was just another day. Well today a group from Upward Bound went on the Apalachicola and they were like it was very boring. I mean they said that they were in pure heat and it was not pleasant. We had a meeting about what to wear on field trips. Yea, crazy right? Well I guess I just don’t understand why we can’t wear flip flops and we are going to the beach. Hey guess what? Kyle Washington from College hill came to Upward Bound and we got the exclusive interview!

Kayla Patterson Apalachicola Day 2
Today, we interview Kayla Patterson in she is here to talk about the field trip that she went on ( Apalachicola River ).
I had a wonderful time. How about you just sit back in enjoy my story. Ok, we got on the bus and Dr. Seay was giving us some feed back about where we was going and what things we were going to see. Also, the kind of adventure/ journey the trip would be. When we had arrived their we had went to the lobby there was a man (Eric) he was also telling us where the fresh water came from. When we got on the boat child it was HOT!!! We had to wear life jacket for safety reasons. I saw a dolphin jump out and in the water it was amazing. We had caught baby fish, but we could not keep them because they really was not good. We had lunch which consisted of a sandwich, it was ham with cheese, lettuce, tomato, Oreo cookies, apple, chips and other good nutrients food. It was time to go so we made our way back to the boat and then we got on the bus and came back to Tallahassee.

Hey you guys I’m back, and really tired. I just got back from the Apalachicola Trip and it was very hot outside. I mean, it was like I was slowly baking on the water. I felt like some smoked sausage. Well don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely informational and it was interesting but, it was just hot! We actually went to the actual Fort Gadsen site and we saw where the slaves were buried! It was so creepy. I felt really bad though having to walk over them! But it was really cool though. The bus ride back was really funny because the boys were trying to sing and I tell you, it was a sight. They were singing all of the “girly” songs and it was really interesting. I mean how in the world they learn all the songs before me! When we actually got back I was pooped. I was really hot! Well I guess that’s was all for today. Well we went St. George Island and I have to say it was beautiful. When we got there the first thing we did was got into the water. Up close the water was brown but far away it was a cute blue color. While we were in the water some dolphin came up to us and we all start yelling because we thought it was a shark. After we left we went to eat in Apalachicola. But over the entire trip was good.

Um…. let me see what happen today. Well today was a ok day. Why, because everybody was just chilling, and having fun, but their food it was okay but some people did not eat it they had fish, hamburgers, corn on the cob, pizza and other etc… The food was ok people ate but not every one they could have done better but its all straight though. Every thing went find though.

Well last week Friday we went to St. George Island and when we got there it was just BEAUTIFUL. As soon as we got there everybody took off their clothes, put their swimming clothes on, and jump into the water. Before I got in the water, I noticed that close to the sand the water was brown and in the middle it was a sea blue. While everybody was enjoying there self. Somebody happen to see something that looked like a shark. As soon as they said that everybody started running and yelling ‘Shark”. This is the funny part…. it was some dolphins. They were so beautiful. After we got out the water, we went to Apalachicola Cola and ate. We got to pick were we wanted to eat. When we got off the bus it was like a, “ghost town”. When I say “ghost town” it was like a place were only tours come to or somebody drive pass by. So as we started walking we saw a seafood place call “Sea and Grill”. So, I order a chicken and shrimp salad. Boy it was good but, when I got my check it was $ 13.04. I was mad at first because I had to spend all that money but it was worth it.
Today’s News
Why in the world did we have to stand in line for liked 2 hours, I mean we were not in line to see President Obama because if that was the case I will be in the CRAZY house. LOL!!! Then, the food…, what is up with that. I mean, when we first got here, the grits was in bad shape, but now it left the grits to the bacon and biscuits. We need to call my mommy because she can cook much better. Then it was a little bit of boyfriend and girlfriend, but we won’t get into that. LOL!!!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, it’s me Lady Nsider bringing you the inside scoops on what’s happening on the campus. Well today was not so hot. And it wasn’t really anything happening today. We are actually going home tomorrow early because we don’t have a field trip to go to. We were going to Wild Adventures, but it is suppose to rain. Man!!!! I was really looking forward to that too. Well the breakfast was okay. They still have been serving the same thing for I don’t know how long. The lunch… not so great, and the dinner… don’t want to talk about it! Nothing really happening today but make sure that you tune in tomorrow for the updates. It’s me Lady Nsider brining you the latest so I’ll see you tomorrow!
